Wiwat Jumpaoon, FIFA referee of Thailand, was tasked with running the match between the two teams standing at the end of the rankings and the victory will have a vital meaning with both in the relegation race. Born in 1989, Wiwat had an impressive arbitration career since he became an FIFA referee in 2018. He was a frequent person who was invited to run international matches and had a deep experience in managing stressful matches. However, Wiwat does not always receive agreement from the teams.
A remarkable event is that by 2020, in the match between Muangthong United and Chiangrai in Thai League 1, the Muangthong team sent a complaint about his decisions after losing. However, after analyzing the video tape, the Thai Football Federation (FAT) confirmed that Wiwat’s decision was accurate, thereby improving his reputation.
Along with Wiwat, other international referees will also participate in important matches in the 22nd round. Especially, the match between Nam Dinh and Thanh Hoa is run by the FIFA referees Malaysia.
With VAR technology applied in all matches in the 22nd V.League round, arbitration decisions will be closely monitored, contributing to ensuring fairness in important decisions of the season.
